         David Gaines  

Highly motivated and goal orientated HR Practitioner with excellent training,consultancy and negotiation skills. Comprehensive and current knowledge of employment law and its practical application; excellent track record of change management, evaluating and meeting companies personnel, training and development needs and delivering a professional, quality service within budget. Innovative and experienced staff manager with strong leadership and motivational skills.

David has extensive experience in Personnel Management and Training and Development gained over a period in excess of 25 years. During that time he has been employed by a number of Government Departments and Agencies and latterly in the private sector. He has been involved in a number of major initiatives and projects ranging from Inter Departmental policy reviews to being fully involved in the management buy-out of a Government Agency.

Throughout his career, David has been actively involved in initiatives and change programmes including transition from a hierarchical structure to matrix management, downsizing exercises and the development of a bespoke personnel database and the procurement of a pay system.

David has experience of casework dealing with disciplinary matters including Employment Tribunal preparation and legal proceedings, setting up new systems, particularly succession planning and training and development, and dealing with the motivational issues of concern to staff. He has extensive experience of Industrial Relations and has negotiation experience with a number of major Trades Unions. He has been actively involved in the development and implementation of mentor schemes and providing training programmes for mentors.

David has presented his experiences at International and National Conferences and to the Work Foundation (previously known as the Industrial Society)

Mike Ward Associate

Mike is an enthusiastic training and development specialist who is adept at liaising at all levels including Senior Management and Board level. He is experienced in presenting training courses from operator level through to senior management and can deliver a range of people development programmes. He is a pragmatic individual who has a passion for delivering training that makes a difference but can also see the wider picture and provide advice and experience to improve business as a whole.

Mike works as an independent training consultant focusing on people and organisations through a combination of facilitation, development and training. He can deliver a range of management seminars and business workshops to suit particular requirement.
